Wooden poles are still widely used and installed on overhead lines all over the world.

As a result, installed bases of millions of wooden poles require to be wisely managed in terms of capital and maintenance budgetary requirements, while assuring high reliability standards.

CINETIX X-POLES™ uses innovative measurement and analysis technologies to easily and thoroughly:

· Verify the static condition of the installed pole, allowing to your field staff to perform an objective and fast assessment of the status of this important asset

· Collect the measurement data to feed an off-line data storage, to support the assessment  of the expected life of the pole

X-POLES™ innovative technology has been defined in close cooperation with the University of Trento (Italy), by studying the relationship between wood structure elastic parameters and resonance frequency behavior.

Unlike other solutions in the market, X-POLES™ is lightweight as a portable/ handheld instrument, fast to connect to the pole under test, completely non intrusive and extremely easy to operate. You just need to place the small and light sensor to the pole with a strap, input the basic information of the pole, activate the measurement, hit the pole with a hammer and wait a few seconds for the results:

· RED light - the pole is seriously deteriorated or is not firmly installed. The pole needs to be replaced or the installation needs to be consolidated
· GREEN light – the pole is in good conditions and firmly implanted in the soil
